Jigme joined Turner Drake in February 2024, with extensive experience in economic development, research, and the real estate industry, both in Canada and the U.S. He is a professional Economist with a B.A. in Economics from Lehman College, CUNY (2016), and a Master of Applied Economics from Saint Mary’s University (2020). Jigme is a member of the Atlantic Association of Applied Economists (AAAE) and is enrolled in the University of British Columbia’s Diploma in Urban Land Economics program.
Research is Jigme’s passion and nothing fulfills him more than being able to ‘get to the bottom it.’ In his previous role Jigme managed extensive research projects spanning the whole of Canada, led various surveys on social, economic, and business and consumer issues in Halifax, and played pivotal roles in attracting many international businesses to Halifax. Coming from a family of economists and real estate professionals, you could say Jigme was destined for life at Turner Drake.
