Katie joined Turner Drake & Partners Ltd. in 2025 as a Policy Strategist within the Planning Division. She holds a Master of Planning (2025) and a Bachelor of Social Work (2017), both from Dalhousie University.
Katie brings nearly a decade of cross-sector experience in housing and homelessness policy, spanning both non-profit and private sectors across Nova Scotia and British Columbia. Her work has included frontline and management roles in emergency shelter, affordable housing case management, legal advocacy and education through community legal aid, and strategic housing consultation and project management.
With a background that bridges urban planning, social work, and development feasibility, Katie is particularly attuned to the social, economic, and policy dimensions of housing. Her interdisciplinary expertise supports her ability to assess complex policy environments and support clients in navigating the regulatory and market factors that shape land development, with a particular focus on housing affordability and inclusive growth.
