Vice President - Russell Allen
Russ joined Turner Drake in 1992 to head up our leasing program. He has extensive experience in real estate leasing and management with companies such as Lehndorff Property Management, Doan Development Corporation, Chartwood Development/Cadillac Fairview and Edgecombe Properties Limited.
Russ excels in identifying tenant needs and locating space that best fits their operational requirements. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the office, industrial and retail space markets in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). Russ is a skilled and patient negotiator, used to crafting creative solutions that mutually benefit both parties … whilst ensuring that the tenant gets the best deal available within their budget constraints. He is well respected and trusted in the brokerage and property management communities; necessary pre-requisites for a successful negotiator.
Russ has successfully relocated tenants with a wide variety of space needs such as Beaver Marine, Canadian Diabetes Association, Dalhousie University, Dramis Network Cabling Ltd., El Paso Pipeline, Encana (Pan Canadian), Fenco McLaren, Ikon Office Products, ICT Northumberland College, International Rectifier Canada, Ocean Rig 11, Maaco Autobody, Michelin Tires (Canada) Ltd., MS Society, Nova Networks, Nova Scotia Dental Association, Rolls Royce (Ulstein Maritimes), Salvation Army, Seatech Ltd., Vale Packaging, Westburne Industries Ltd., Whitehouse Software, et al.
He has leased space in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) for landlords such as the Armour Group, Citigroup Properties, CREIT, Crombie Properties, Halifax Commercial Park Leaseholds Ltd., Halifax Port Corporation, O & Y Enterprise Atlantic, Oxford Group, Queens Square Developments, Roycom, and Summit Reit.

Manager - Verna J. Turner, FRI
Verna was a founding member of Turner Drake in 1976 and has been involved in many facets of the company. Prior to joining our marketing team she spent 8 years in our Valuation Division. Verna is experienced in the use and maintenance of large computerised databases and was instrumental in the expansion of our Compuval™ system database.
Verna was awarded organised real estate's symbol of professional excellence, the FRI (Fellow of the Real Estate Institute) designation in 1997 and was formerly on the Management Board of the Nova Scotia Chapter. She is an Associate Real Estate Broker (Province of Nova Scotia), a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Realtors and has been a director of the Investment Property Owners Association of Nova Scotia. She became manager of our Brokerage Division in 1989.
Verna focuses on sales and has successfully marketed property for vendors such as Canada Trust, G.M. Holdings Ltd., Evangeline Trust, Hoyts Moving & Storage Ltd., Nova Scotia Business Development Corporation, BICC Phillips, Atlantic Caterpillar, Bank of Nova Scotia, Prudential Assurance, Westburne Industries, Halifax Herald, League Savings and Mortgage, Nova Scotia Freemasons' Home, Maplehurst Properties, Inglewood Realties Ltd., etc.
