Vice President - Richard J. Escott, B.E.S., AACI
Rick joined Turner Drake in 1981 and has extensive property valuation experience in Atlantic Canada and Ontario. These assignments include hotels, shopping centres, office buildings, industrial properties, airport and marine port facilities, and apartment buildings, as well as rural real estate.
Rick was awarded a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo, Ontario in 1976. He gained accreditation (Urban Option) with the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 1985 and subsequently passed the Rural Option in 1988.
He is our Food Processing and Agricultural specialist and is well versed in food processing facilities (juice, meat packing, fish plants) as well as farms, poultry and hog operations, feedmills, fertiliser plants and woodlots.

Manager - Bruce Scallion, B.Comm., AACI
Bruce joined Turner Drake in 1996 after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with a major in finance) from Saint Mary's University, Halifax. Prior to taking this degree, he completed the two year Construction Administration Technology Diploma at the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology, Halifax. Bruce was granted a Diploma in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia in 2000 and is enrolled in the Bachelor of Business in Real Estate Degree. He gained accreditation with the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 2004.
Bruce has experience in our Lasercad™ Division, providing advice on space measurement issues in office, retail and industrial property. He has also worked in our Property Tax Division, successfully conducting assessment appeals in Nova Scotia.
Most of Bruce's career with Turner Drake has been in our Valuation Division. He has completed valuation assignments on a multiplicity of property types: apartment complexes, aircraft hangers, banks, car dealerships, manufacturing facilities, office buildings, recreation property, residential subdivisions, restaurants, schools, single family homes, warehouses …
Bruce is an avid kayaker so it is no surprise that he has extensive experience valuing the many islands that lie nestled in Atlantic Canada's bays and inlets.
